Letters of Recommendation Templates

If you currently already have letters of recommendation that you keep on hand (please do not reuse LOR from previous years, get some fresh ones!) then you are welcome to use the ones that you have as long as they are within 4 years from the close of entries. A letter of recommendation is simply a little love letter from a client or a birth colleague who has worked with you and wants to sing your praises. These are fantastic to keep on hand if you need to quickly email an OB to get into theatre (OR) or NICU, or really, anywhere.

I love having client letters of recommedations on hand to use for when the opposite parent maybe doesn’t feel comfortable with that extra person in the room (eh hem, that’s you the birth tog lolz)

So while having this be apart of the ‘judging’ process might feel strange, it isn’t that far fetched. Let’s form some great business practices. Also, yes, we are humble, but my goodness, reading that raving recommendation sure does make us feel good and give us a pick me up when maybe sometimes we just aren’t feeling it

If you have LOR already, please feel free to use those.

If you do not have LOR already and just don’t know where to start or how to ask your client or colleague to write one for you, here are 2 ‘templates’ you could use to offer them the information you need them to write for you.

Rules for submitting your Letters of Recommendation:
There really aren’t any ‘rules’ persay. The main thing is to make sure that your business or name is not identifiable on the document. This is because our judging process all the way through to PPY is anonymous.

No one will see your letters of recommendation except the judges on the final PPY panel. This is a closed and anonymous judging process. There is no feedback offered on this portion of the awards process. If your client/colleague does accidentally put your name in your LOR simply redact it before submitting it. You can do this in a PDF file reader and ‘mark it’ with black pen or whatnot.

When uploading your images to your entries when submitting, please make sure that your LOR are labeled as such:
Surname_FirstName_LOR_01
Surname_FirstName_LOR_02

That’s it 🙂
